PhD, Director of R&D and Clinical Affairs, Biologics
Amanda LoGuidice was named Director of R&D and Clinical Affairs, Biologics in August of 2020. She previously served as Director of R&D, Biologics beginning in March 2019. In her role, she oversees RTI Surgical’s new product development for all biologic products and implants, which includes allograft tissue, xenograft tissue and synthetics. The R&D Biologics group consists of project managers, engineers, scientists and the design transfer team. LoGuidice joined RTI in 2012 as a scientist in the research group, leading a small scientific team. She continued to take on more responsibility as a Senior Scientist, then Senior Manager before taking on her current role. Over the past few years, she has worked to build and develop the R&D team, reinvigorate the innovation and new product development pipeline, support and foster current customer relationships and partner with the commercial teams to develop an overall biologics long-term strategy for continued growth and customer intimacy.
LoGuidice earned her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, she completed a Postdoctoral fellowship in Regenerative Medicine at the University of Florida Shands Medical Center Department of Surgery.
