Femur

Intercalary grafts are allografts used as a source of cancellous bone as well as in procedures that restore segmental bone loss in the extremities, pelvis and spine due to trauma, osteoporosis, and in the removal of tumors and/or hardware. Intercalary grafts are sterilized through the BioCleanse® Tissue Sterilization Process, which inactivates or removes pathogenic microorganisms while preserving biocompatibility and biomechanical and structural integrity. These grafts are terminally sterilized after BioCleanse in their final packaging to provide a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6.
